Finding Freelance Work

We all have to be proactive when finding freelancing work. There are numerous ways of achieving this and a plethora of website offering ‘work’. The trick is to be selective and hold to a set of rules you place upon yourself, in terms of renumeration, deadlines, types of work and sources.

Of course we can all pick up low renumeration jobs from sites such as Elance, Freelancer, Fivver etc. but why work hard when you can work clever? I can link to numerous lists of sources, such as:

Some of these you may or may not have tried – everyone’s experience is different. I enjoyed several months of reasonably paid work through Freelancer from one particular source. It was great experience and I learnt a lot.

What is your game plan for acquiring freelance work?
